How clarity and credibility have shaped Ishbel's PR story

I’ve known Ishbel Lapper Chartered FCIPD for a decade now – and for nine of those years I’ve been looking after her PR and communications.

In that time her HR business, Wright HR LTD, has grown from a small start-up into a thriving business with more than 100 clients and a reputation for no-nonsense common-sense advice.
What began with one Shropshire client now stretches across the country, with the business expanding at an impressive pace.
I’m not claiming any credit for Ishbel’s success. PR people who try to bask in someone else’s hard work are missing the point entirely.
But Ishbel herself will tell you that she would not be where she is today without the PR and profile building we’ve worked on together for these last nine years.
In fact, this is what she does say:
“Jon has an exceptional ability to capture my voice and ensure every post sounds authentically like me. He understands exactly how I want to present myself online and aligns everything to that vision. The quality of his work is consistently outstanding, every single time.”
There’s nothing particularly flashy about what we do. It’s simply good, honest and consistent storytelling online, in print and through broadcast, that highlight’s Ishbel’s knowledge, values and unique personality.
But it’s all helped her win national recognition for her work, reach some one million people online in the last 12 months and establish a profile which helps draw in new business on a consistent basis.
The lesson? PR isn’t about noise or gimmicks. It’s about clarity, credibility and momentum. And no business should be without it.
Because when you get it right, growth stops being an aspiration and becomes a habit.
